Weekend Workshop Speech Intensives
"A TONGUE HAS ONE CUSTOMER, THE EAR."
We offer a variety of workshops throughout the year, exploring themes including epic and lyric poetry, dramatic encounter, and storytelling. This is a wonderful experience in cultivating our relationship to the spoken word supported by movement, breathing, and articulation exercises. All levels of experience welcome!

The Speaking Word in Waldorf Education with Helen Lubin Focusing on the Daily Speech Practice: What, Why and How?
November 17, 2018
Movement is a cornerstone of development and well-being.
How does this play out in the evolving relationship between the spoken word and movement throughout the school years?
What are our artistic speech means for furthering this, from the participatory movement of the limbs in the life of the younger child, to the inner movement of language in pictures, to the dynamic movement of thinking activity in the older student?
How does this interface with the changing relationship between outer and inner, world and self, in the journey from 1st through 8th grade?
Schedule: Saturday 9:30-4:30
* For further support, individual sessions will be available following the workshop on Saturday as well as on Sunday.
